It’s hard to believe with all this nice weather we have been having that it’s only March and not June yet. But it is only March and the end of every March is the Wasaga business show. We are excited to be participating again this year. We will be doing free Facebook photos just like last year so bring your self on over to our photobooth. We will be holding a few draws as well. So, don’t forget to stop by to see us for your chance to win a session.
Where: the Rexplex in Wasaga
When: This Sunday
Time: 11-4
Just in case you forgot how much fun last year was, here’s a little reminder…
Sarah & Scott were married this past summer at the historic Bigwin Island in Lake of Bays. Their day was all about their union and bringing together two great families.
When Sheralyn first contacted us she was living in Singapore and Steven was living here in Ontario. Sheralyn made this great stop motion video as a save the date for their wedding. It explains really well their long distance relationship as well as showing Sheralyn’s creative side.
Their wedding decor and food was truly made with love and the help of family and friends. It was wonderful to see all of their family and friends helping with all aspects of their wedding to make it a great day and party. The wedding & reception took place on the cottage lawn on Three mile Lake in Windermere. Here are a few of our favorites from their day.
Thanks Sheralyn & Steve for choosing us for your special day.
Who knew you could have that much fun while learning and being inspired? Well, I am here to tell you can. Andrew and I went to a photography seminar series this year called “Mystic” It was at the very beginning of January and ran for four days of seminars. We got to meet and chat, have a beer with some of the top wedding photographers in the world. Crazy! We even made it into the Mystic Video which was filmed by Joseph Switzer of Switzerfilm
So, are we inspired? Yes! We are taking what we have learned and re-learned and putting it in to action for 2012. Thanks everyone for such a great time.
Cheers,
Kate & Andrew
Happy New Year! Just a small collection of the past year of weddings. We have had a wonderful year photographing all over Ontario and meeting lots of new people. We wish you all the best for the new year and best wishes in your planning. Thank you!
Anita & Chris will be getting married next summer and I cannot wait to see what they have come up with for decor. Anita has such a great sense of style! I will give you a hint… “zebra print” We photographed their engagement session in Collingwood, Craigleith and the Blue Mountains. It turned out to be a great evening with lots of warm light. Anita & Chris had never been to some of the locations we went to and really enjoyed finding some great trails and places to walk Easton.
Their dog Easton! Was very excited to meet us and have his picture taken.
Scott & Sarah had a beautiful day at Bigwin. If you have never been to Bigwin Island you are missing out, it’s a beautiful spot for a round of golf or a wedding.
Sheralyn & Steve Had a beautiful cottage wedding with lots of DIY projects. It must have taken them weeks and weeks of preparation. Just thought I would post this Teaser Postcard until the rest of their blog post is ready.
We just wanted to say thank you to all our great clients and we really appreciate the support and understanding over the last month. The wedding season started on a rough note with the postal strike. Living in a rural area like we do we depend on the postal service for almost all of our mailings and packages. With the service not running it was a lot more difficult and expensive to get everything where it needed to be. Also, we had several packages stuck waiting for everything to reopen. Once that was over we were excited to get everything back on track. Only that didn’t quite happen as quick as we had hoped.
On July 5th a close family member had a bad accident. We are very happy to say that they are recovering. It will be a long process for them. This again took us away from our editing work and set us behind by a few more days. Things are now getting back on track and we are working hard on keeping to our time-lines. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to call or email.
Thanks again for the kind words and best wishes that you have offered. Also, for your patience and understanding. It means a lot to us.
Meagan & Jeremy were married on the 11 of June in Parry Sound, Ontario. The rain held off and the light was great for photos. For our postcards we usually on feature one image but I had to add in this image of Meagan in their boathouse. Beautiful!
