Jen & Alex’s great northern adventure! Jen and Alex were married at Jen’s family cottage on Sand Lake in Muskoka. They put together an unbelievable event, right down to the smallest details. From homemade signs directing you to their spot on the lake to the B&W photographs on the tables of their guests and past adventures at the cottage. The end of the night was finished off by a fireworks display.

Alex proposed on the beach in the same place where they were married. He had sent Jen on a treasure hunt which ended with her digging for her ring on the beach.

Jen & Alex were made for each other. Such loving families and so in love themselves. It was a great day.

The snow is starting to get to me. Probably because this has been one winter where we have been sick a number of times with colds and flu.  Also, we have had a lot of snow! Being so close to Georgian Bay, we often get lake effect snow which means that as long as the lake is not frozen we are getting snowed on. I do love the snow but being sick means to many indoor days for my liking.  Are you ready for spring? I know I am. I was excited about being able to see the grass last week.

I am posting this session that I photographed last summer so we all can have a reminder of what the world looks like with out all the white stuff. I photographed this session in one of my favorite places in Wasaga Beach. It was a beautiful evening, we photographed at the golden hour for light.

I can’t wait for spring flowers and to get back outside on a regular basis.

Cheers,

Kate

Tim & Rebecca were referred to us through Blue Mountain Resort. Although, they love Blue Mountain they wanted a more natural setting and thought of the Bruce trail and the top of the Mountain.   They also decided to break with tradition and get together before the ceremony to photograph with family and the wedding party. We scouted the area several weeks before and found a beautiful field and old apple orchard to start with.  The day was so very relaxed and you could see that Rebecca & Tim enjoyed every minute of it. Enjoy!

Cheers,

Kate & Andrew
